Join us for a lively and interactive children’s book reading featuring I Want My Hat Back by award‑winning Canadian author and illustrator Jon Klassen.
After the reading in English and Japanese, children will take part in a fun “Find the Hat!” scavenger hunt through the library. Can you track it down?
In April 2026, Jon Klassen became the first Canadian to win the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, often called the “Nobel Prize of children’s literature”, in recognition of his exceptional contribution to children’s literature.
Participation is limited to 25 people on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

数々の賞を獲得しているカナダ人作家・イラストレーター、ジョン・クラッセンによる絵本『どこ いったん（I Want My Hat Back）』を読む、楽しい参加型のイベントにぜひご参加ください。
英語と日本語での読み聞かせの後は、図書館内で「帽子を探せ！」宝探しゲームをします。さあ、見つけられるかな？
ジョン・クラッセンは2026年4月、児童文学への卓越した貢献が認められ、「児童文学のノーベル賞」とも称される、スウェーデンの権威あるアストリッド・リンドグレーン記念文学賞を、カナダ人として初めて受賞しました。
